Election of ACCA officers and directors, the upcoming coyote control contest was discussed and the date Oct. 16th, 2010 through Feb. 11th, 2011 was set for the 2010 – 2011 Coyote Control Contest. |

A meeting will be held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. Guest speakers will be George Smith from SAM (Sportsman's Alliance of Maine) and Gerry Lavigne, State of Maine retired whitetail deer biologist. Speakers may also include gubernatorial candidates. |

Club president Jerry McLaughlin went to Allagash for a requested ACCA meeting to get the word out about the group. 20 people attended the meeting. |
February 19, 2010 |
A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. The guest speaker Tom Whitworth, Maine State Forester talking about the states forestry laws and rules pertaining to deer yards, clear cuts, and waterway setback cutting along with other cutting laws and rules. Gubernatorial candidate Kevin Scott also spoke briefly to the group presenting his ideas on wildlife and the Wildlife Department of Maine. February we test run our first deer feeding programs in Allagash and Portage Lake areas. More testing is needed before final decisions are made. February also ended the groups' 2nd coyote contest which started January 16th and ran through February 13th with 57 coyotes being tagged. With many thanks to Ben's Trading Post for being the official contest tagging station. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with guest speaker Lynne Beaulieu of Corn King speaking of the different feeds they can put together for winter feeding of deer. Also Jim Bernardian of Oxbow Plt. on of the winter deer feeders of the area spoke about the benefits for the deer that he has noticed over the last several years of winter feeding. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with a program of election of officers, more discussion of winter feeding of deer, and update of spring and summer seeding programs. During the 2009 seeding time there was areas seeded in Stockholm, T16-R4, St. Francis, Portage Lake, Nashville Plt., Masardis, T14-R5, T14-R7, and Garfield Plt. There were a total of 20 different areas seeded. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with the topics of seeding on private lands and winter feeding of deer being the issues discussed. |

The club ordered another $2,415 of seed for the summer seeding program. |

ACCA attended the Top of Maine Show in Madawaska with a booth to inform people of the group and to get our message out to a wider area. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with guest speaker Pete Seehusen, Quality Whitetail Consultant of Whitetail Deer Institute. He spoke about his groups' seeds and the high protein feed grown as a result of these seeds. |

The club seeded its first plot on Irving Forest Products ground in T16-R4. The seeding was what is called "frost seeding" the seed is spread before the ground is completely thawed in the spring. |

Presque Isle Sportsman's Show. The group attended with a booth and held a gun raffle to raise awareness of the club and to raise money for seed. The club ordered $2,500 worth of seed from Pete Seehusen, Quality Whitetail Consultant of Whitetail Deer Institute, using club dues and raffle money. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with guest speaker Lee Kantar and Rich Hoppe, Maine deer biologist. They preached the same redundant script that they always do. Based on their presentation the biologists feel it is best not to feed deer. |

Our 1st Coyote contest was held. There was a short notice on the contest with 37 coyotes tagged. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with guest speaker Jeff Nichols from QDMA (Quality Deer Management Association). He talked about planting food plots of high protein plants to help the deer go into winter in better shape. He also talked about how to make food plots, frost seeding of seeds, best seeds with minimal ground preparation, and the benefits for deer to start the winter with as much fat reserve as possible. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with guest speaker Gerry Lavigne highly respected retired Maine state deer biologist. He talked about the need for and the lack of state wide coyote control program,a need for better future deer habitat, better land management for deer wintering areas, travel corridors, and browse. |

A meeting was held at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. A meeting was held with guest speakers Ed Renaud and Dave Tobey of WCCA (Washington County Conservation Association). ACCA is fashioned after WCCA; they helped the group get organized as a non-profit club. There was an election of officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 5 Directors with 118 people attending the meeting. |
December 23, 2008 |
A meeting was held at the Caribou Ski Building. 37 people attended concerned about the Aroostook County deer herd conditions and lack of predator control. The people decided to form a group to see what might be done to help the declining deer numbers and try to slow the increasing predator (coyote) numbers. The group formed the name ACCA (Aroostook County Conservation Association) and decided on a need for future meetings and increasing member numbers. |
